MONDAIR SOLICITORS - Fee Scale (FIXED FEE)

We work on a fixed fee basis and our average fees for the most commonly used services are shown in our Fee Table below. Should our fee be subject to VAT, this will be payable extra, in addition to our fee.

Please kindly note that fees in the fee table are an estimate set in view of the anticipated average number of hours to be dedicated to your case. After the initial consultation we will provide a fixe fee offer, depending on the nature and complexity of your case.

Discussing your circumstances and informing you of the options that, in our professional opinion, are best suited to resolve your case or achieve your goal.
Application for an entry clearance as a visitor   or extension of a visa as a visitor up to the maximum permitted length of   stay

  • Assessing the case including any documentation   you shall supply in support of you   case, advising you on the requirements of   the law    
  • If the   applicant does not fulfil certain criteria – advice on whether this can be overcome and how
  • Supplying   details of the information and evidence required, and application procedure
  • Confirming   associated direct costs
  • Considering   supporting evidence and informing of additional details and documentation   required
  • Attending   client’s communication and sending emails and letters to client
  • Where   necessary, helping client to obtain further evidence such as medical records, disclosure records from the Home Office, HMRC, Ministry of Justice, other   third parties
  • Preparing   and submitting your application on-line or by post, as applicable
  • Putting   supporting documentation together in an application pack, ready for   submission (not including scanning /    uploading of the evidence online) and handing it to client for submission
  • Making   an appointment at a Visa Centre abroad or UKVCAS / SSC center in the UK for submission of the biometric information and supporting evidence, if required
  • Assisting   with uploading of the supporting evidence online, if required and agreed   about separately
  • In case   if the applicant/sponsor is invited for an interview at a Home Office   interview: providing advice regarding purpose of the interview and general   procedure. Our fee does not   include attending interviews or appointments with clients. Should you require   such service please discuss it with us separately, in advance
  • Liaising with the Immigration Authorities in   relation to the outstanding application (chasing decision)
  • Informing client on the outcome of the case /   decision, possible next steps and associated costs e.g., next application,   appeal, fresh application, Judicial review, etc.

Please note that our fee does not include   contacting the UKVI using pay-for methods e.g., email
or calls, or   preparation and submission of a formal complaint regarding Immigration

Authorities’ or their representatives’ actions, or delay in consideration of   the case, attending an appointment at the Visa Centre or UKVCAS with the   applicant.

If client requires representation at the hearing,   we will assist in locating and instructing a qualified barrister, will liaise   with the barrister in relation to the hearing, supply the barrister with the   required documentation and information.

Preparation of an application for permission to   appeal

  • Reviewing Court’s decision and advising on appeal   rights / scope for the appeal / JR / CART JR
  • Supplying   details of the information and evidence required for the application for   permission to appeal and next stage of the appeal process, in general
  • Confirmation   of associated direct costs
  • Preparation   of the application for permission to appeal including relevant forms and   grounds of appeal, and submission to the Court
  • Informing   client of the outcome of the application and next steps / options / costs
  • If   required – preparation and service of consolidated bundle of evidence
  • If   client requires representation at the hearing, we will assist in locating and   instructing a qualified barrister, will liaise with the barrister in relation   to the hearing, supply the barrister with the required documentation and   information

*       Should you require our advice or assistance with other type of work e.g. asylum or statelessness applications, applications outside of the Immigration Rules e.g. on the ground of family or private life, advice and services in relation to the immigration bail, detention, deportation or removal, removal injunctions, further submissions, reconsideration requests, voluntary returns, Judicial Review  claims, applications to the Court of Appeals, High Court, Supreme Court, ECtHR,  or if you are a business and require advice and assistance in relation to the Sponsorship License or Sponsorship management Service please contact us for a quote.
 
**    The fee shown is for one (main) applicant. Dependents/ additional applicants: additional fee of 50% from the main application fee will be added for every additional applicant or dependent. Depending on the number of additional applicants or dependents we may be able to offer you a discount for combined fee.

Withdrawing instructions
Should you withdraw instructions part-way through your immigration case, we will charge you for all work we have undertaken on your behalf, at an hourly rate of £175 p/h plus VAT where applicable. The balance between the fee due for the work undertaken and fees paid will be returned to you by bank transfer or cheque upon receipt of your written confirmation on termination of instructions.

What is included in our fee:
Our fees include our professional charges for our services in relation to the preparation of your case / submission of the application.
Where VAT is payable on the fee due to us, this will be payable in addition to our fee. Should VAT be payable, we will clearly indicate this in our Client Care Letter / Invoice. Our VAT Registration Number 777114320. VAT rate applicableto our fees is set in the relevant VAT legislation. Current standard VAT rate applicable to the sales of goods and services is 20%.
Additional costs and disbursements are not included into our fee and are payable extra.
Additional costs and disbursements will include, for example, the following:
  • Home Office or HMPO application fees – you can find details of current application and service fees at www.gov.uk;
  • Biometric fee – more details can be found at www.gov.uk;
  • Immigration health surcharge – more details can be found at www.gov.uk;
  • Translation and interpreting costs, depending on service provider;
  • Postage outside of the UK mainland or abroad, depending on service used;
  • Appointment fees and fees for using services at a Visa Centre abroad or UKVCAS centre in the UK – details of the relevant centres, services offered there and fees can be found at www.gov.uk;
  • Costs for Tuberculosis screening tests – depending on the provider’s fees in the relevant country;
  • English Language Tests - depending on the test and provider;
  • Life in the UK tests – more details can be found at www.gov.uk;
  • Court fees – more details can be found at www.gov.uk;
  • Appeal and Judicial review costs – more details can be found at www.gov.uk;
  • Costs and fee for administrative review – more details can be found at www.gov.uk;
  • Expert’s fees – depending on the expert. In our experience these range between £1200 and £2500 per report;
  • Barrister’s fees – depending on the services required and seniority of the barrister.
We will inform you of the relevant costs in advance and will help you with making payments.

When and how to pay:
All our fees are payable in Pound Sterling (GBP).
It is our normal practice to receive 50% of the Fixed Fee upon receiving your instructions, with the balance becoming due before we submit your application.  
Payments are due within 10 calendar days from the date invoice is issued (sent to you to your email address or posted to the address we have for you on our file).
If an invoice remains unpaid in full or in part, without you having made a payment arrangement with us, then we reserve the right to withdraw our services to you in future until the debt is paid.
It is your duty to inform us on change of your actual or postal address in advance in writing and the Company will not be held liable for loss of correspondence or receipt of the correspondence by any non-authorized person if sent to the address we hold for you on our file.
If payment is not made in-time, we will charge you interest at 10% per annum from the date invoice became due. Interest is charged on a daily basis.  If you have a query in respect of any bill sent to you then you should contact straight away.  
You can pay our fee either with a cheque or a banker’s draft made payable to ‘Mondair Solicitors.’, or by making your payment directly into our bank account. Should you wish to pay into our account please contact us for our bank account details.
You can pay the fee in cash at our reception however this will involve a surcharge of 2% on top of the fee, to cover bank fees and admin costs.
Should an unforeseen complexity arise or where due to the specifics of your case it would involve more complex or additional work, we will inform you of this in advance, before carrying any additional work for you.
